Enjoy a private relaxing retreat at our four bedroom laid back Tropical Island style home. Each unit has a double bed, full bathroom, fan, table, chairs, a custom made bed lamp full of seashells and it’s own ocean views. The large Deck and Gazebo is the central point around which the rooms are encircled.
Each unit has nice “firefly” lights for romantic ambiance. The deck also has soft rope lighting for ease on eyes and great for easy stargazing as well. All units form an “L” shape around the open deck which has a Gazebo for shade and hammocks. There are several unique local handmade wood carvings of dolphins and a pelican adorning the deck area as well.
At one end of the deck is the freestanding octagonal shaped Kitchen-Library-Social “KLS” Area; with it’s own bathroom and kitchen for you to use.
Each Bedroom unit has views of the ocean and ventilation from three sides. Constant tropical onshore trade winds often create soothing and effective natural ventilation, while ceiling fans and portable fans are also available.
You can swim right offshore from our safe sandy beach.
A wonderful Reef is but a short swim away. We even have a map with “snorkeling trails” marked. Sunbathe or relax in a hammock in the shade. Rental also includes use of SEA KAYAKS and Snorkel Gear (if reserved ahead of time.) Enjoy the dock, which puts you feeling like you are on a ship at sea and even closer for an easier swim over the shallow sandy bottom to wonderful reef treasures right in front of the house.
This 4 bedroom Beach Home is tucked into a hidden corner of East Sandy Bay on Roatan. Conveniently located only about two miles from Coxen Hole and four and a half miles from West End. We are secluded and yet easily accessible to all the west end island area attractions. We are on the edge of a small cul-de-sac behind the unique landmark white picket fence near the Sandy Bay Cemetary ( Cemetario ).
A secluded quiet beach; – walk along in peace & privacy – unlike the crowds at West Bay & West End, Beautiful white sand & shallow reef waters., GREAT fishing, snorkeling and diving, Excellent & safe shallow area for children, families & new swimmers. Turtle grass is in shallow areas but mostly soft sand. You can stay inside the reef where average depths are from 3 to 7 feet deep or venture out to the far side of the reef thru the marked cuts and see extraordinary walls drop 100 ft down to the sand. There is even a fully submerged sunken ship just beyond the reef (within swimming distance) that was purposefully sunk specifically to be a dive site with the approval of the Marine park authorities.
